Starting school is an important milestone for children and families. Rosanna Primary School is a Victorian government primary school in Rosanna, and we aim to support families as they explore Prep enrolment and prepare for the transition to primary school.
Families are welcome to learn about Prep through a range of information sessions and school visits. These opportunities are designed to help children feel comfortable and help families understand how learning and wellbeing are supported in the early years of school and beyond.
Prep‑focused school tours are offered during Terms 1, 2 and 3. Tours are hosted by the principal and provide families with an opportunity to see classrooms, meet students, explore outdoor spaces and daily routines, with a focus on the Prep learning environment.
Tours are scheduled regularly each week and are hosted by the principal, leadership team and student leaders. Bookings can be made by visiting our Trybooking site or calling the office. These dates are updated regularly.
Prep information mornings provide an opportunity for families to hear from the Prep teaching team and school leadership. These sessions focus on transition to school, early learning, wellbeing and how the school supports children in Prep.
Two 2026 Prep Information Mornings are planned for term 1 and 2. These sessions are a chance to hear directly from the prep teaching team as well as leadership of the school. A tour and BBQ Brunch will finish the morning!

The school works in partnership with families to support a positive transition to Prep.
In the final term of school, our incoming prep cohort participate in a 5 week orientation program. Students meet in class groups while parents share their own information sessions. It is an important time to ensure a positive transition for students as they meet their new class peers and establish foundational relationships with school staff. An emphasis on collaborative conversations between the school and home before the school year underpins an effective supported transition.
